My HomeNet service is the result of something like four different mergers and/or name changes since I signed up originally for both home phone and internet service from Ventelo nine years ago and later shifted my mobile phone account to as well - which later re-separated and became Phonero. Ventelo internet became Broadnet and then HomeNet. That may not be everyone else's path to HomeNet but it was mine. Ventelo had some problems - particularly regarding constant billing errors, but the internet speed was great and customer service was generally efficient. There was a high period of service where they expanded the hours of the customer service phone number and fixed basically every problem. They would even sometimes deduct the cost of a month when I was on holiday. They had a very efficient and convenient "Min side" section where you could keep track of your bills. Anyway, HomeNet has gradually declined in both speed and customer service the past few years and have increased sneaky marketing techniques designed to force you into new bindingstider. They have reduced the hours of customer service and restricted their chat monkeys to only dealing with incoming customers or new contracts (not with general problems - then you're forced to use the 5-digit pay-for number). I took an offer for 3 free months of internet and then the rest of a year for what was supposed to be upgraded speed at old prices. I swear it is slower than ever and my wife does too. They now also charge you for email-faktura the way companies used to charge for faktura sent to your post box. Effectively, you are charged if you don't use AvtaleGiro but they actually made a sudden change to their AvtaleGiro in November, causing serious problems. I don't recommend it. I have just tried to cancel my contract and we'll see what happens. There was no information online about how to cancel - only how to do positive things that bring them more money.
